Terms of Service
Effective and last updated: June 26, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms and Eligibility
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the SentinelSSP platform and related services (the "Service"), operated by SentinelSSP LLC ("SentinelSSP", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, subscribing to, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms, and references to "you" mean both you and that organization.
2. Description of the Service
SentinelSSP is a CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance readiness platform for defense contractors. The Service provides tools to help you prepare for an assessment, including assessment scoping, control-by-control self-assessment, self-assessed SPRS score calculation, System Security Plan (SSP) generation, policy document generation, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) tracking, evidence mapping, and an AI assistant ("Sentinel").
The Service is a preparation and organization tool. It is not an assessment, an audit, or a certification, and it does not transmit anything to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the SPRS system, or any assessor on your behalf.
3. Subscription, Billing, and Cancellation
- Plans. The Free tier includes full CMMC Level 1 readiness. The Pro plan costs $199 per month and unlocks CMMC Level 2 readiness and full feature access.
- Billing. Pro is billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Your subscription automatically renews each month until you cancel.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period, and you retain Pro access until then. After that, your account reverts to the free tier - full Level 1 access retained and your data preserved, with Level 2 content inaccessible until you resubscribe. Your account is not deleted on cancellation.
- No refunds. All fees are non-refundable. Cancelling stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund of the current period or any prior period, and partial periods are not prorated.
- Price changes. We may change subscription pricing. We will provide notice, and any change applies to your next billing period.
- Taxes. Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which are your responsibility.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- copy, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service;
- share, resell, or sublicense your account, or allow others to use your credentials;
- use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service, or send automated or abusive volumes of requests;
- attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, authentication, or other access controls, or probe or test the security of the Service without authorization;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or the data it contains.
5. No Legal Advice; No Guarantee of Certification
SentinelSSP is a readiness and preparation tool only. It does not provide legal advice or compliance, consulting, or assessment advice, and nothing in the Service creates an attorney-client or consultant relationship.
The Service does not guarantee CMMC certification, a passing assessment, any specific SPRS score, or any particular outcome. Outputs, scores, recommendations, and generated documents are aids to your preparation, not authoritative determinations. You are solely responsible for your actual compliance and for any decisions, representations, or submissions you make.
Only an authorized C3PAO or government assessor makes the actual CMMC determination. SentinelSSP is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the DoD, the CMMC Accreditation Body, or any government agency.
6. No CUI or Sensitive Controlled Information
The Service is designed so that you do not need to enter Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or other sensitive controlled information. You must not upload, enter, or transmit CUI, classified information, ITAR or other export-controlled content, vulnerability scan data, network diagrams, credentials, or other sensitive controlled data through the Service, including through the AI assistant or the support form.
You keep your actual evidence and artifacts in your own systems. SentinelSSP stores only the high-level pointers, locations, and metadata that you choose to enter. You are solely responsible for ensuring that anything you enter is sanitized and free of prohibited content.
7. Your Data and Ownership
As between you and SentinelSSP, you own the information and content you enter into the Service ("Your Data"), including the documents you generate through the Service, such as your SSP and policy documents, which you may use for your own compliance purposes.
You grant SentinelSSP a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display Your Data solely to operate, maintain, secure, and provide the Service to you. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Data and for ensuring it does not contain prohibited content described in Section 6.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, templates, and the SentinelSSP name and logo, is owned by SentinelSSP LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service for your internal compliance-preparation purposes during your subscription.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of the Service itself, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SentinelSSP disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be accurate, complete, reliable, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SentinelSSP LLC and its officers, members, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
SentinelSSP's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the total fees you paid to SentinelSSP in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SentinelSSP LLC and its officers, members, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party; or (d) your entry, upload, or transmission of CUI, classified, export-controlled, or other prohibited content into the Service in violation of Section 6.
12. Term and Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or to others.
Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account: it reverts to the free tier, with your data retained and Level 2 content inaccessible until you resubscribe. We will delete your account and data on your request, and may delete an account that is terminated for breach. Sections that by their nature should survive termination - including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law - will survive.
13. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
